Description

Ribbed Beanie features a ribbed pattern with wide columns of knit stitches alternating with narrow columns of purl stitches. The crown decreases are shaped around the ribs for a fitted finish.

How to

With Cable Cast-on method, cast on 64 [72, 80] sts

Join in the round, being careful not to twist sts. Place st marker to indicate start of round.

Body

Next Rnd: *K6, P2; rpt from * to end.

This round forms the pattern for the main body. Work in pattern until the main body of the Hat measures approximately 6 [6.5, 7] in/15 [16.5, 18] cm (or desired length)

Crown

Rnd 1: *K6, K2tog; rpt from * to end [56, 63, 70 sts]

Rnd 2: *K5, K2tog; rpt from * to end [48, 54, 60 sts]

Rnd 3: *K4, K2tog; rpt from * to end [40, 45, 50] sts

Rnd 4: *K3, K2tog; rpt from * to end [32, 36, 40 sts]

Rnd 5: *K2, K2tog; rpt from * to end [24, 27, 30 sts]

Rnd 6: *K1, K2tog; rpt from * to end [16, 18, 20 sts]

Rnd 7: *K2tog; rpt from * to end [8, 9, 10 sts]

Rnd 8: K0 [1, 0] *K2tog; rpt from * to end [4, 5, 5 sts]

Break yarn and thread through remaining 4 [5, 5] sts and tighten to close.

Finishing

Weave in all ends. A gentle wash and blocking is recommended.
